Trip to Normandy

Day 1

Meeting at the airport

Flight Riga-Charleroi (~05:50-07:20).

Transit through Belgium and France. We will enjoy Belgium's beautiful landscapes: cosy Flemish villages, green pastoral fields, charming small towns and architecture where medieval heritage blends perfectly with modern forms.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Mon-Saint-Michel.

Visit the famous Abbey, one of the greatest symbols of France (entrance from €16).

The Abbey is not only remarkable for its impressive history and strength of spirit, but also for its truly extraordinary location - an island that lives by the rhythm of the ocean.

At low tide, Mont-Saint-Michel is revealed in all its glory: the surrounding sandbanks are vast and the Abbey can be reached on foot or by a narrow causeway. But at high tide, especially on full moon days, the water rises rapidly, filling the whole bay, and Mon-Saint-Michel once again becomes an inaccessible fortress, an island surrounded on all sides by the sea.

Transfer to Senmalo - a fortified town, port and resort in Brittany. Founded in the 6th century, Saint-Malo is famous for its massive city walls, endless beaches, rocky coastline and rich maritime history. City sightseeing tour.

Overnight in a transit hotel.

Day 3

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Granville, a town known as the “Monaco of the North”.

Granville charms with contrasts: the rugged granite Old Town, towering above the sea, and the picturesque fishing harbour below. Christian Dior was born here - and you can visit his house-museum (tickets from €10).

Overnight in a transit hotel.

Day 4

Breakfast at the hotel.

Excursion programme Honfleur - Deauville - Truvilla.

Honfleur The romance of the Old Harbour, its historic streets and rich artistic heritage.

Deovila - The cultural capital of Normandy, famous for its film festival, elegant villas, long promenade and authentic French chic.

Truvilla - The first Normandy resort to become popular thanks to Flaubert and Dumas. It has preserved its exquisite villas, attractive promenade, popular fish restaurants and casinos.

Journey to Etreta - the legendary coast of white chalk cliffs, arches and grottoes that inspired Monet and many other artists. Visit the viewing areas.

Overnight in a transit hotel.

Day 5

Breakfast, room check-out.

Transfer to Rouen for a city sightseeing tour.

Rouen - The capital of Normandy and one of the most beautiful treasures of French history. Known as the “city of a hundred bell towers”, it is home to a number of outstanding Gothic churches. Highlights include the Cathedral of Our Lady of Rouen, the medieval half-timbered houses and the Old Market Square, where Joan of Arc was executed. Rouen retains a distinct medieval atmosphere and has inspired many artists, including Claude Monet.

After the tour, transfer to Brussels-Charleroi Airport.

Flight Charleroi - Riga (~19:50-23:10)

Arrival in Riga.
